At external speed 0.75×, source BPM based on overall is 120 ÷ 0.75 = 160. Candidate source levels are 80, 160, and 320. Listen again before deciding which pulse level belongs in the task.

Inspect warnings and spread

Choose a second clean section and start a new session. Keep pulse level and speed basis comparable. Do not tap toward 120 merely because the first card showed 120. Independent observations are valuable precisely because they can disagree.

Keep the observation environment simple

Tapping cannot identify a song, meter, downbeat, or universally correct BPM. Human motion and browser events are not sample-accurate audio measurement. performance.now() supplies monotonic page timing, but its resolution and event scheduling depend on the environment.

The page does not fetch a URL, embed a player, download or parse audio or video, activate a microphone, call an API, access an account, or save a history. Tap values remain in current memory unless the visitor deliberately copies a card.
